Our Commitment
Knotweed Directory is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What We Do
- Use semantic HTML for proper document structure
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content
- Ensure sufficient colour contrast throughout the site
- Support keyboard navigation
- Use ARIA labels where appropriate
- Test with screen readers
Known Limitations
Interactive map components may have limited accessibility for screen reader users. We provide text-based alternatives (specialist addresses and service areas) alongside all map content.
